Dear Family - 11/25/13

Good afternoon from sunny Jamaica,

How is everybody doing this week? I got the news about grams on Wednesday morning during companionship study. I am not gonna lie even though how wonderful it is to know that grams doesn't have to suffer any more I believe that as humans naturally we have the tendency to miss our loved ones. I have been missing grams like crazy and I will continue to miss her. Immediately after I found out I realized how much apart of my life on earth grandma really was. She was always there but something great I believe and know is that she still is and always will be. Yes it is definitely hard being so far away and not around to comfort one another but i truly have felt everyone's prayers this week, so thank you so much for that.

For this week though has been really busy. So busy we hardly had anytime to do actual missionary work. Wednesday was transfers and now Elder Mathewson is now with me in Yallahs. On Thursday was zone conference and we were privileged to hear the Area President speak to us, Elder Anderson.

Today at the bank we had a cool experience. Elder Howard and I were waiting in line to deposit tithing money. Well we start talking to this man who also was in line. As we start talking with him we find out that he attended this church in another branch in Jamaica. He really wanted to come to our activities that we have been having and to church and he wanted us to come talk to his daughters and his family. He is married and has a car. He said he didn't want to set up a specific time because he wanted to make sure his family could all meet us so it can be a good experience. He also said that he has a big yard so we can have a few of the neighbors come too. He was so solid. I was really happy about it. The Lord really does prepare elect people and put them in our path. We just have to be worthy and follow the spirit.

Well, family i love ya and hope all is well. Keep pressing forward everyday and do your best. One of my favorite scriptures of trust is found in Doctrine and Covenants 101:16 ".. all flesh is in my hands; be still and know that I am God"

Love Elder Stuart
