Dear Family,
We have had another great week. It kinda a weird stage in missionary
work for us but I feel like it is really effective. We have been doing a
lot of work with the members and setting up opportunities for them to
share the gospel with their friends.
Elder Howard and I spoke in church on Sunday. It is weird speaking and
being the branch pres at the same time. I feel like people listen to me
more haha. Well, Elder Howard spoke on naturally sharing the gospel with
our friends and family. How if we talk with
our friends the spirit will open up the conversation to where we can
testify of some principle of the gospel. Then i spoke about Charity and
how a missionary is not a missionary with out charity. Well we have this
super awesome member named sister Campbell.
Sister Campbell listened to our talks and she said that after we spoke
that she felt really prompted to that her family should be apart of the
gospel. So she walked over to her dad's house and talked with him and to
make a long story short it worked and now
he is going to be coming to church!!!!
Also another cool story. On Saturday we went up to see a member and i
was in a tripanionship with Elder Howard and Elder Groesbeck. Well while
we are seeing this family we taught them about the importance of
reading the Book of Mormon and how it gives us strength
to over come our trials she said she felt like she needed to read it.
The interesting thing was we weren't even teaching it to her. We were
teaching he less active daughter. Well She said that after we left she
went straight in and started reading and a great
feeling came over her and she said it had been the first time in weeks
she has been able to sleep the whole night.
Yeah baptisms are slow right now but if i can only just help one person a
day I am happy. I wish i could help everyone all the time but
everything is in the Lords time. Thanks family for all you do. I love
ya.
Love Elder Stuart
