I am sure you are curious to what happened according to my subject line. Well two arsonists decided to light the church yard on fire!! No, just teasing, two missionaries who i live with. Their intentions were for the good of the church but in the end it was an oops. Well i got a phone call from Elder Groesbeck that they lit the yard on fire and the fire department had to come put it out. Good news was that nobody got hurt and now we can make a football field for activities.
In other news, we had an awesome discussion with a less active member named Nicola. It was a really cool experience. Nicola is a member who has in the past shown a lot of signs of hard hardheartedness. Well we start to have this lesson with here an because my companion is so talented at singing we had him sing her favorite song, "There is sunshine in my soul today" and then we read with her about eternal life out of true to the faith. In the middle of the lesson she completely softened to the spirit and said it is time to come back to church. She has been a member in yallahs for 20 years longer than most of the branch. She said when she heard Elder Mathewson sing that song she remembered her baptism because that is the song they sang then. Then she said that when we read about eternal life a feeling came over her that she needs to get back on the path because that is the only path that leads to happiness. She said that light filled her body and spirit and it is time. She also had a friend that she wanted us to see. It was really great.
