Hello family and friends,
I bet you are all super curious about my subject line and are all thinking yeah yeah it's an April Fools joke and all because that would all make since but I am here to tell you now about what happened.
So on Tuesday was zone conference which was probably the coolest zone conference in the world. President Hendricks and Sister Hendricks and the Assistants came out to Cayman and had zone conference with us. It was the coolest thing in the world because all of their focus was on us. Well they left that evening and the next day we had a bunch of errands to run. Being the only two missionaries on the island turns you into a full time missionary and also Cayman's office elders to go run errands.
Well first thing is first and we go withdraw money from the bank for bills and our cards don't work. Then we go pick up the new car!! The mission gets new cars every three years and it just happened to be that year and we are riding around in a new 2013 Toyota Yaris!! It was pretty crazy to drive a car that has just been made and shipped.
Well also on this day we had to go to the immigration office to get my year work permit which a person must have to remain on the Island. Well we go to the office and wait an hour and they call me up and they look at my paper work and tell me I am missing a couple important things so we leave get the stuff and come back. By this time it is like 2:00 in the afternoon. Well we get back and wait another hour and they finally call me up and look through my papers and look me up on the computer and said first of all your health insurance must be a local insurance agency for you to have a work permit and second of all your temporary work permit expired. So now i am sitting in Jamaica waiting on my reassignment to somewhere back to the United states. With in the week I should be flying back to the US somewhere. When you get deported it is back to your home country. There isn't much anybody can do about that. Mom, you should be getting an email soon explaining all that happened and now the proper procedure with the legal rights and fees and everything. It is kind of disappointing I'm not gonna lie but i know that where ever they send me will be the will of the Lord. You all don't need to worry but I'm sure i will be talking to you soon. So not much missionary work going on here in the mission for me this week but soon i will be back in action somewhere back in the United States. I have no idea the consequences but hopefully we can still come back on our trip when i get home like you all have been planning.
Well I love you all and can't wait to talk to you soon.
Love Elder Stuart
Well truth is all that happened up to the point of the insurance part but what happened next is that I stressed about it all night and prayed about it and the next day miraculously they accepted every thing. I had and I only had to pay 100 cayman dollars instead of 300 and all worked out
I love you all and never forget who you are. April Fools!
Love for real this time, Elder Stuart
