11 Months Down!

Hello again!!

Can you believe how fast weeks have been going lately. Well they have been for me anyway. It sounds like everybody has been doing well again for another week. This week has been awesome. WE have had some good times this week. So for the first awesome experience. We had church yesterday and had a recent convert a new member who is soon going to the temple and a powerhouse veteran speak and they were all awesome but i want to share a story about the recent convert. Well this recent convert's name is Cira Bush. Cira is from Dominica and since i have known her she just seemed like a stressed out single parent trying to live the gospel the best way she knows how. Well at church she gave the most powerful talk in the world. She talked about how much her mothers criticisms annoyed her and how she hated it when her mother was around because she knew that she was going to be criticized about something. Well her mother visited last week and before her mother left her mother said she likes what she sees. After Cira told us this part she got very emotional and then she read a poem about who she used to be and who she is now. At the end she said "I found the secret that you mormons have and now i have it to , It is the book of mormon." And then she said "US MORMONS ARE LIKE LIONS AND THE WORLD IS OUR JUNGLE!!" She closed with that in her little spanish accent and then sat down. Not a dry eye in the room. It was so awesome. WEll that is Cira haha.

So a funny story that happened yesterday. WE were eating at a members house to discuss an activity. These members are awesome, there names are the Kolbaba's and Brother Kolbaba is a vet student at the school here. Brother Kolbaba is from Chicago and sister Kolbaba is from Utah. Well they have this giant dog who is the friendliest dog in the world. Well while we are eating this dog is just all over on our feet just rolling around. We get done eating and share a thought and the time came to close with a prayer. Well Elder Faumui gets to pray and suddenly about half way through the prayer i feel, thug thug, on my leg and it is the Dog's tail and the way it was hitting my leg didn't' seem like it was physically possible so i peak. I look at Elder Faumui trying to say this prayer (he was doing a great job considering) and this Dog was jumped up on his lap just all over him. It was all i could do to hold back my laugh and as soon as he said amen we all looked over at Elder Faumui and none of us could hold back the laughs any longer and i lost it. It was too funny.

THis week has been pretty awesome. I was able to experience some testimony's, stress, confusion, enlightenment, annoyance, love, exhaustion, diligence. Well that just about describes the mission and there is so much more to it all. Well i love you all and love this restored true gospel.

Love Elder Stuart
