Happy St. Patricks Day...a day late!

Family and Friends,

Hello Everybody, How are you all doing. It has been sounding like you are all enjoying life and such i sure do hope so. This week has been a super fast week. I cannot believe that i am sitting here again writing you.

This morning i was reading some church material and it was talking about the phrase 'How Long" being used in the scriptures. And it goes on to say that in the end all of our "How Long?" times will be turned into "Small Moments". It really got me thinking about how fast time is going. I have already been out almost a year now and everything is going by soooo fast!! To you all ENJOY THE JOURNEY because it is all just one big small moment.

This week we had a lot happen. We met one of Juan's friends named Martine. This guy is awesome and also from Cuba. We are teaching a couple of Juan's friends from Cuba and they all have left Cuba and have become Christians. Well Martine is a very educated man and has read the bible quite a bit. He was telling us how and from historical facts why there is no true church on the earth just the same way as an apostasy. He explained to us how after the death of Jesus Christ and his apostles the church was changed as well as some things in the bible. Well naturally while he was telling us Elder Faumui and I's jaw was on the floor and so naturally we taught him about the restoration and the Book of Mormon. He was so intrigued about the Book of Mormon because he has done a lot of research on the Aztecs and the Incans and the Mayans and so forth. He was telling us from Historical facts about how the book of Mormon could be true.  He then looked at us and said, "Give me a week to read this book and Pray about it and i will tell you." We were in complete and total shock!! It is quite interesting how God has prepared people.

Juan coming from a communist country where if you believe in God you will  be put to death as well and Martine and their other friend Polo. They are all interested and really want to know the truth. Something funny about these guys is for a while they assumed we were just rich pastors who had some paid Help back at our apartment and that we always had food and then one day they found out about how we volunteer and we have to pay and cook our own food and so forth. Well now every time we go over their we get a huge plate of Cuban food that they cook. It is so good. So yesterday after church everywhere we stopped members and Juan and his friend gave us something to eat. We ate lunch at our house before we left thinking that we wouldn't eat anything before we get home but we were so wrong. The first place we stopped the member we were visiting gave us a banana muffin and a huge glass of milk, I was not complaining. Then the next place we stopped we got fed a huge three course dinner. Then after that lesson we went to Juan's for a lesson and of course he brings out huge three course dinner not 20 minutes after we just ate at the last appointment. Then we get a text message to stop by a members house and grab some pastries to go!! Well we get to the members house and he brings out a huge scandal bag of pastries and hands them to us. We were in shock. I ate enough last night to last me a week. Well, this morning i was bound and determined to run. I set out for the usual three miles and then after a mile I was dying. I ended up barely running two miles. I am still full haha. Well that is how my week has been. I hope all is well at home and I love you all. Keep being the wonderful people you are and make this week the best week you have ever had

Love Elder Stuart
