Delicacies of the Caribbean

Hello everybody!!

How are you all this week? From the sounds of it life is just going great for you all. That is wonderful. So this week has been pretty crazy. So funny story is that all my days run together so the only way I remember about what has happened this week is if i think really really hard about it and then it will come to me and if it doesn't it will surely come when we are done emailing.

So this week something random happened. We were at one of our members house named Jack and he fixes us Jerk Chicken every Friday night. He is Jamaican and actually from May Pen area. Well his son is visiting from Jamaica and he isn't LDS. Well I get looking at his shirt and I see Idaho on the back of it. So i look a little bit closer and there was a picture of a Bear and the words "Bear Lake Utah and Fish Haven Idaho"!! I was shocked. I mean it is pretty rare to run across somebody from the Caribbean wearing a Bear Lake shirt.

Also another random story is we were at another members house and there are Iguana's everywhere here. Well the Iguanas were eating one of his plants. So his son who is huge gets this slingshot dart gun and shoots the Iguana it falls out of the tree and is still moving and what not. Well they then take the Iguana over to a table and chop off his head and it is still moving and squirming. Then he chopped off the tail and the tail was still moving and squirming, and then he scun the iguana and it was still going. They eat iguana meat here, I haven't tried it yet but i am planning on trying it soon. Another random food I have ate recently was cow foot. That was interesting. I don't even know how to describe it. Also  I had chicken foot for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It wasn't my favorite in the world. It looked like a baby's hand. It kinda made me queeezy but I still ate it and smiled after haha.

So this week at church we had four investigators. We have Tamara and she came back. We had an awesome lesson with her this week. She is golden as of right now. She enjoyed church this week a lot better than last week. There were a lot less people. That isn't as good but it made her experience a lot better.

So we have been waking up at 5 to go run and I have been running 2 1/2 miles soon i think i will bump it up to three because we get fed so much here I can't handle gaining too much but hey what do ya do. haha. Days are going so fast that i can't even believe it.

This week has been a huge testimony builder for me. Mostly about how important the Book of Mormon is to us. I was reading a quote but I'm not sure exactly what it said but it said to the effect of any member of the church will never be satisfied with where they are at until they have read the Book of Mormon, not only once but time and time again. The Book of Mormon has changed and molded my testimony into what it is today. Well I love you all and I can't wait to hear from you next week. Keep smiling and working hard. I will hear from you soon.

Love Elder Stuart
