Just so everybody knows I've seen blizzards worse than Hurricane Sandy was in Old Harbour. I bet you weren't expecting that to be the first sentence of the email haha. I know it is a blessing that it didn't hit or do any damage in Old Harbour but where is the excitement in that right? The storm the day before sandy hit was worse than when sandy actually hit Jamaica So on Wednesday we had to stay in all day of course but we seriously could have went and proselyted. Only a couple of times we got some gusts of wind, and the power was out pretty well all day. The Zone Leaders called us and told us the storm had passed Wednesday night and we were like What? That was it? Some parts of the Island got it pretty bad like the north east coast. It think Kingston got hit pretty good as well. I'm sure the media just shows the worst part of everything. I hear though that it was a category 5 and heading for the states so that is pretty crazy.
So this week was predicted to be pretty exciting in the life of Elder Stuart but it did not live up to the psych. On Thursday I woke up with a pounding head ache and my neck hurt and my back hurt. So i got up and took a shower and ate breakfast and i was feeling a lot better. By lunch time i was not feeling very good at all. So we went back to the house to go to the bathroom and while there i took my temperature. It was at 101.8!! So we call Sister Larsen because Sister Hendricks wasn't on the island and she told us to stay in the rest of the evening. So we did and she said that in the morning she would check again and tell us whether we could go out or not. Well morning came and I did not want to stay in another day so I convinced myself I was feeling better. We had a meeting and we started proselyting at 2:00. Sister Larsen said if i go out and I am not better it would just get worse. So we went out being the smart person I am. We had some amazing lessons by the way. One lady cried after we taught her the restoration and she prayed. It was awesome and super spiritual. Her name is Angela. Well the day finally ends and I felt Horrible!!! My fever was back up to 101. So lo and behold we had to stay in all of Saturday and all of Sunday I have felt like a very less effective missionary this week.
On Saturday we got transfer calls. I have received the call once again to train. I will be opening up a new area in MayPen and training. I am super nervous and excited at the same time. I don't know why but they are bound and determined to have me train someone. Well moving on to my second area and my 6th companion. Oh yeah and my six month mark was this week too. Now that I can't believe. It has gone so fast and i can't believe i am already leaving my first area!! Well That was what happened this week. I love you all and remember to Choose the Right!!
Love Elder Stuart
