It sounds like everybody had a wonderful thanksgiving and I am super glad. My thanksgiving consisted of chopping one of our investigators yard, a short random trip to Kingston, my first Mexican food i have had in 7 months and Chinese food haha. All in all I am happy that I remembered what to be thankful for on that day.
So this week I had a bunch of cool experiences. Story #1 so we were studying for one of our investigators and our commitment with her is to be at church or else we needed to drop her. She has had a lot of struggles in her life. She has renal failure right now and is teaching school. I was looking through the conference edition of the liahona and i found a talk in the relief society section. As I read it I felt like it would be good to share with her. We got to her house and as we got there she said she had found her answer and it was to go back to her old church. I honestly didn't know what to do. And then i got the sudden impression to share with her what we prepared and so we did. When we finished reading she said that she was wrong and there is so much more she needs to do to get her answer. The article didn't even say anything like that but yet somehow heavenly father communicated to her in his own way through that article. It was pretty amazing.
So yesterday we had a really awesome missionary fireside with the members. We introduced the standard of excellence to them that President Hendricks gave us which is to have each companionship to have 1 baptism a month and to always have 1 progressing investigator. We also set a bunch of goals for them so that we with the branch can accomplish this task. I introduced a goal which is to have every member think of 4 people that they want to share the gospel with and introduce them to the missionaries before new years. I know after the fireside I was super excited and i hope the branch was too.
Also yesterday we had two dinners so that was good. I love rice and peas haha. One was rice and peas and fish and the other was rice and peas and pork. Well yes that was basically all i can remember about this week. It really was a good solid week. Well i love you all and can't wait to hear from you.
