HOT HOT HOT

Family and Friends,

How is it going? I got your letters mom, they all came at the same time. Basically all mail will get here the same day if you send it all in one day, Dear Elders, Pouch, and Envelopes.  They all go to the mission home and it just depends on when the next time Zone Leaders come through old harbour.

It is hot here when the sun is out, when it rains, and even at night. I sleep with a fan on high three inches away from my bed going back and fourth.  It keeps me somewhat comfortable.  No pictures today, we are in Spanish Town right now because it was zone PDay.  We played capture the flag and flag football this morning.  It was Spanish Town zone (the zone i am in) verses Kingston Zone.  We won at capture the flag right away at the first and then Kingston grew wiser the second game and after about an hour they finally got us.

It usually rains here fast but then the sun comes out and makes it three thousand times hotter. I miss being able to walk outside at night and feeling the cool night air. haha One day the power went out and when the power goes out there is no water either.  Yesterday for fast sunday we went the whole 24 hrs without food or water.  I could handle the no food but the no water was killer. The food here is really good but really unhealthy.  They eat chicken like it is going out of style. There is a KFC on like every street corner.  Only one in Old Harbour but it is like in the center of town and it is the cleanest restaurant there.  The meal I have eaten the most probably is chicken, rice and peas (beans) and this salad looking stuff.  It has a different taste to it though.

My bike is still out of commission.  We fixed it tuesday morning really fast filled it up and was just getting ready to head out of the door when i look back and say "Elder Montgomery, Is my bike tire flat again?" and yes indeed it was.  The stem had a whole in it.  We were going to get it fixed today but last night the actual owner of Elder Montgomery's bike came and took his bike. So we will probably continue to walk. It isn't bad though. When i start to get tired i just think back to the last time i went fencing or moved pipe.

Oh and by the way everybody here sees me smack a mosquito here and they are all "don't worry, you will get used to the mosquitoes eventually" and i think oh you have no idea.  The mosquitoes here are nothing so far from what i have been exposed to. I haven't felt the need once to use Mosquito stuff.

We are always getting mongo's by the ton. Yesterday at church we got like 8 huge mongos and i had to put them in my bag.  It was so heavy not to mention i was super weak from fasting. So we just dumped them off at a members house and gave it to them.  Anyway that is all for this week I hope all is well at home and the mosquitoes aren't too bad yet ;)

Love Parker
