Havin' a Good Time

Before we get to Parker's email I want to share a little piece of what he sent me:

"Sam, I have a song for you to look up. It is called Summer Time by Vybz Kartel.  We hear it all the time like on buses and stuff.  If you want to know what I have to translate to English everyday then listen to that song. Except it is even worse than that sometimes. I don't know for sure if the song says anything bad in it so idk haha."

Here is the link to the song with the Lyrics...Good Luck! :)

Dear Family and Friends,

How is everybody this week!? I hope all is well.  This week in Old Harbour was crazy!! I went on my first trade off. I stayed in Old Harbour and my new companion  was our District Leader. His name is Elder Ngubanee ( I have no idea if that is how you spell his name), he is from South Africa.  We did this on Wednesday and it was a 24 hour trade off.  He stayed in our house.  By the way Elder Montgomery and I are the only elders in Old Harbour.  Anyway I took the lead on everything that day. It was really stressful but I learned a lot.  When Elder Montgomery came back I was so relieved haha.

First story of the week, We were headed to teach this Lady Paula, she has been taught from the missionaries a ton. She could probably teach about the gospel better than i could but she has a heart of stone!! She just has way too much doubt and way too many questions to let the spirit touch her, especially about Joseph Smith.  Anyway as we were leaving we were really frustrated because it was really out of our way to go see her. On our way out this trucker stops and asks for a Book of Mormon.  At first we were skeptical because a lot of people are just there to mock us but then he was like. "I had one and i really liked it but my girlfriend read it and Loved it so much she stole it from me."  Anyways to make a long story short we got his number and gave him a pamphlet and a Book of Mormon with our numbers on it and he said he would give us a call if he was in the area and able to meet with us. Moral of the story is to follow the spirit because you never know where it will lead you.

Church yesterday was really good, it was branch conference. (basically ward conference) A ward to us is a branch to them because of how few active members there are.

I love you all so much and hope everything is good.

Love Elder Stuart
