What a Week!

Dear Family and Friends,

This week has been probably been the best yet. Yesterday we had District Conference in MAYPEN. Yes you heard me right. Besides the fact that i was able to see all the people i met in maypen Pauline and Chrissy were actively attending and had callings and Chrissy is preparing to serve a mission when she is nineteen!! Also at district conference President Brown spoke and he is just so powerful. He announced some pretty crazy stuff. He said that by the first of the year there will be a stake in Spanish Town. JAMAICA IS GETTING A STAKE!!!  I am soooo excited for that. This is huge news for this area. I am still in shock about it. The missionary force in Jamaica is growing so fast too. Last transfer we got 15 new missionaries and 6 left this next transfer we are getting 15 more new missionaries with only 2 leaving. The work is hastening my friends and I am so grateful to be apart of it.

Also this week we had an awesome week in our area. President Brown came all the way out to Santa Cruz to come teaching with us. In one discussion we received 12 referrals and talked with at least 5 new people. He challenged everybody we talked with to be baptized and to take the discussions and he helped me out a ton this week.

Yesterday we had a discussion with a man named Leo. He is someone we talked with with President Brown. Leo owns a restaurant and it is probably one of the best tasting ones i have had here in Jamaica. Well Leo had us over yesterday to share our message with him. Leo had the most inspired questions ever. He has been searching for a true church and not another false one. He is all about reading the Book of Mormon and visiting church with us. After this powerful discussion we invite him to say a kneeling prayer so we all kneel and he offers up his prayer and we sit there in silence for about 3 minutes and he looks up to us and says, "I have never felt like this before". We explained to him what he was feeling and now we are going to go back and see him again soon. He is really awesome.

Well I am just so grateful to the Lord for blessing us this week. It is amazing to me what the Lord can do through a humble servant. I look at my Leaders all the way up to President Monson and all I see is a man who loves the Lord enough to do anything for him and his fellow beings which is right and that is the only reason he is what he is today. An unselfish servant of heavenly Father who leads and guides the church by revelation from the Lord.
