Wow! What a Week!

Dear Family and Friends,

This week has been probably one of the best weeks of my life. But unfortunately pretty hard at the same time. This week I had the privilege to spend time with a man that means a whole lot to me. President Hendricks came out for Zone Conference and Branch Conference. It was hard because it was the last time I will see President and Sister Hendricks for a long time. I can't even begin to express the impact that they have made on my life.

Also this week the Assistants came out on Thursday and stayed until Saturday. That was really cool. the Assistants are Elder Worley from Logan and Elder Nugent from Springville. It was pretty fun to be with them for a couple of days and to hear their take on things and to improve. This week has probably been the week in which I have learned the most. I guess there is a big missionary broadcast coming this week on Sunday. you should all tune into it because it is going to be pretty remarkable. i don't know what it is but it should be good.

Also this week we had some fun as well. We went to Margaritaville and did the burger challenge. The challenge is that you have to eat 4 patty cheese burger and fries with two pickles in less that 15 minutes. I epically failed and finished the burger and half the fries in the allotted amount of time. If you don't get it you have to pay for your burger. It ended up costing us who failed $25 US Dollars. Only one missionary passed it. WE made history in that place though. The most people to do the challenge at once. Later that day we had two dinner appointments that we weren't expecting haha. Well one we were but the other not so much.

We also had one heck of an experience with Kevin and Theodora. We went and saw them and they had read the chapter that we had left them and were really humbled. We happened to leave them Alma 34 and after we left them that chapter they had a death in the extended family and they said it really made them think. We asked if they prayed about the baptism date we extended and they said that they hadn't . So what we did is we taught the doctrine of the date and answers to prayers. At the end of the lesson Kevin and Theodora offered a kneeling prayer and after the prayer we sat in silence for about 5 minutes and after Theodora looks at Kevin and grabs his hand and says, "I will follow you". Kevin says "I don't know if it is a sign or what but I feel this burning in my heart". Well we explained that that was the holy Ghost and they committed to be baptized on July 27. Isn't that awesome?!?

Well Family I cannot complain about the work. I love my mission and I learn something new everyday. I know that the church is true and I am grateful for every blessing that Heavenly Father has given me. Especially my family. We are truly and divinely led by a prophet of God. The Lord Jesus Christ is the literal cornerstone of the church. And we will never fall away if we cling to the Iron Rod, The Book of Mormon and the other Standard Works. I love you and appreciate you.

Love Elder Stuart
