Small World!

So a little bit of a pre-story story to lead into Parker's email. On Sunday, I received a text message from my boss, Jason, with a picture of Parker and a bunch of young men (last pic on this post). Jason is Facebook friends with a guy who took his family to the Cayman Islands for a vacation and ran into the missionaries...fast forward a couple hours later and mom gets an email with the exact same picture. Long story short The Roney's were in the same family ward as Jason's family when they lived in Utah. It's amazing the connections that are out there in Mormon World!

Hello everybody,

Something new thing I am trying...I brought my journal to email today so I can remember some cool things that happened this week. The weeks go by so fast that I can never remember what had happened by the time I email.

So that is super crazy that you already know about the Roney visit. Technology is as fast as light and not to mention how small of a world it is in the Latter-Day Saint community!! But yeah it was fun I think we might go back today, they challenged us to a volleyball game so we woke up a little early this morning and did our wash so we can go back for a little while and play a game or two and make it back in time for proselyting.

So this week some funny stuff happened and also some super cool stuff. So earlier in the week we had an awesome thing happen to Theodora. She read the plan of salvation pamphlet and after she read it she posted on Facebook what she learned and how cool she thought it was. She was amazed about the pre-earth life and how after we die...we would still have our memories and so forth. Well of course we all know that if you post something as true as that on Facebook, that opposition will come in. A whole bunch of people opposed her and she just testified of the Book of Mormon and defended the faith. Well it was a pretty exiting experience for us.

Also for a funny story. Earlier on in the week we were trying to find where a friend of a member lived we were supposed to teach. Well he is from Peru and didn't speak very good English, his name is Mucho Dela-cruz if that helps. Well we are trying to get directions and all we can understand is the names of places. Now you have to remember we haven't been out here in Cayman very long so when he says some place I know and some place I don't know I will probably go to the place I know to find the place I don't know if you know what I am saying.  :) Well, we went to the place I knew. Called him and he said are you at the front or back and as far as I could tell I could have been at the front and back. We spent like 35 minutes trying to find this guy who doesn't speak a lick of English and finally he found us. Well Mucho took us to where we were supposed to be finding him and it wasn't even close to the place he said that I knew  haha. It was very humorous.

Well this week has been quite great. There has been a lot of opposition but there has to be. I am just happy to be serving here in Grand Cayman and more importantly the Lord. If you are looking for more happiness in your life keep the commandments and do what the Lord wants you to do.
I love you all you are the greatest and remember to always be grateful.
