Dear Family,
Conference was amazing!! I wish more people would sincerely listen to and watch the messages given to us by the Saviors Prophet and Apostles and other leaders of the church, because seriously I received a lot of personal revelation. I really loved all of the talks and to anybody who missed any of the sessions I implore you to go back and take the time to watch them. I personally thought the best talks for me came from Saturday sessions and priesthood session. Although if we are truly grateful to have living prophets and apostles in our day we will and can show our appreciation by listening to all of them and applying the principles they teach in our lives. Just like the people did in Mosiah 2: 1-4. At their general conference they were full of gratitude and they remembered the mercy of the Lord. We too must do the same.
Other than the Lord speaking to me through his servants not a whole lot happened this week. Last night we had an interesting talk with an atheist. He was actually really respectful. We were able to apply what we learned from Elder Holland about responding to people with Courtesy and Compassion. We were with a new investigator who is awesome but also very bold, he told the atheist man that he is so bloated with apostasy that he could stick him with a pin and he would pop!! I am not going to lie it was really funny and he was able to get away with it because he didn't know any better. Also in attempt to apply this principle at conference we had a lady who showed up with one of our investigators. She had two questions that originated from rumors and we were able to respond to her objections in a matter of no contention and an invitation to learn more with respect to her beliefs.
Well i know that the church is lead by divine authority and is proven by the Book of Mormon and confirmed by personal revelation by the power of the Holy Ghost through prayer with a sincere heart, real intent, and faith in Christ. This testimony is nourished by obedience to the commandments. I love the gospel and everything that it entails. Thank you all for your faith prayer and support. You mean a lot to me.
Love Elder Stuart
