Dear Family,
It sounds like everybody is doing great!! I am excited to hear about all the great news coming from home!! I cannot believe this week how fast time flies. This mission is going way too fast. Well for this week we have had some great things happening.
One day this week we were busy serving all day. We spent all morning building chicken coops and then had two lessons and then after that went and scaled and gutted 60 lbs of fish for a member. For those of you who do not know what it means to scale fish what it means is you hold the fish by its tail and rub a knife against the scales and they fly off. Sea fish have hard scales and then after that and they are gutted they just throw the fish in a pot to either fry it or stew it. Well i can tell you this much, i wont be eating fish for a while.
Also this week we have a super awesome investigator named Stephen. He is a Christian rasta. He has so much faith. We have been teaching him for two weeks now and he is already in Mosiah in the Book of Mormon. He loves the teachings of the church and he not only reads the pamphlets one time but about 5 or 6 times each. He has come to church twice now and next weekend is his baptism. Yesterday at church during priesthood he started crying because his heart swelled with gratitude for the Atonement. He is going to make a great member of he church. Also i found out this week that Juan from Cayman will be going to the temple in February and Pam Workman will be going to the temple in February. Also that Pauline and Chrissy are planning for the temple and Kevin and Theodora!! All of this made my heart swell with joy.
This scripture came to mind ," Behold, the field was ripe, and blessed are ye, for ye did thrust in the sickle, and did reap with your might, yea, all the day long did ye labor; and behold the number of your sheaves! And they shall be gathered into the garners, that they are not wasted." Alma 26:5 The garners are the temple. I pray that these last three months i can finish strong so more people and be gathered into the garners. I love my mission it is the best ever Keep up the great work of being you . I love you all so much and pray for you every day.
Love Elder Stuart
