Great Week!

Dear Family and Friends,

We had another great week here in Yallahs Jamaica. Church was great, we had 45 people there and President Brown spoke about the temple. I love President Brown, he is truly a disciple of Christ.

This week we had a really cool experience. We have been working really close with this less active member named Daquan. Well, I love this kid to death and i feel for his trials. He is only 17 and he has a lot of things dragging him down and he wants to change. It makes me appreciate my life and also question why i was so special to be placed in the wonderful circumstances i grew up in. Well, we went up to see Daquan and he wasn't there. So we went around the corner to say a prayer for him and as soon as we said a prayer his best friend came up and started talking to us. We had given him a pamphlet the day before and he read it. He said that he really liked what he read and it makes sense. We answered some of his questions and talked to him for a little while and at the end we asked him to pray and ask Heavenly Father if the things we taught were true. He did and he said a wonderful specific prayer and guess what.  The Spirit was poured out upon him and he said he knew it was true. He has been reading the Book of Mormon and he came to church yesterday. He is also planning on getting baptized next month. It is truly amazing to me how when we just lose ourselves helping others and being concerned for others Heavenly Father really works through us. His powers and his miracles come through faith hope and charity. The Pure love of Christ is not selfish but is giving. It comes when someone labors on behalf of others. I love this work and this gospel. It is the gospel of repentance. The Savior of the world stands supreme for us today. He overcame the world and with him we can to. I love the gospel. I love all of you. Thanks for your love and support.
