This week has been really awesome. First of all I am so excited to hear about the new addition to the family. That is really great to hear. Next it looks like everybody enjoyed the Fourth of July. You all have way too much fun haha.
Well, this week for me has pretty much been the best week of the mission. It started out pretty slow but after 2:00 on Friday the work just took off. After Friday we had a member at every lesson. On Sunday we had 6 investigators at church. Kevin and Theodora are doing awesome. They are still planning on being baptized on the 27th of this month. The branch was awesome this week in fellow-shipping and helping. I love the Grand Cayman Branch.
So last week we challenged a bunch of the youth in the branch to a basketball game that is at 630 tomorrow evening. They think they are going to win but I have news for them...Elder Ambrose is a boss at basketball haha. It should be pretty fun, i think the branch is going to make an activity out of it.
Another crazy experience this week. We were eating with the coolest family in the world named the Boddens. This family is so funny. You have brother and sister Bodden who are the patriarch and matriarch. Brother Bodden was the first to accept the gospel and he has a pretty amazing conversion. And sister Bodden is just faithful. Anyway they fed us a gigantic meal. Pigtail and Bean. Now at first thought this could sound pretty disgusting but I will tell you what my future wife better be able to make pigtail and bean the way sisiter Bodden makes it. haha I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
Also this week we ate with Brother and Sister Dela-Cruz. They are a faithful couple from the Philippines. They can make really good smoothies and also cook great Philippine food. Well we were eating the national dish of the Philippines and I was just inhaling it and then I bit right into a full red chilli pepper!! Boy did my ears ring. I am still feeling it in my stomach!! We also are now teaching brother Dela-Cruz's brother now. He is a great guy.
Well the work is really going great. I cannot complain one bit. I am excited for this next week. I just cannot believe how fast it is going. At the end of the month will be 15 months for me. Crazy stuff. Elder Engebrecht, who has been my zone leader since I've here is leaving next week!! Now that guy is gonna be hard to say cya later to. He has been the missionary who has been apart of my mission the most consistently. Well family I love you all and am so grateful for all you do.
Love Elder Stuart
