So as you can see I put the subject line in Spanish. Why you may ask? Well i will tell you why. About half of the people here speak in Spanish with a little English. I wish i knew Spanish but hey you never know after 6 months I might be able to speak fluent Spanish haha.
What has been new on the home front. It looks like you all had some snow and also some parties! Happy Birthday to my big Brother LOUIE!! And also tell Brady I say good luck on the mission!!!
This week was pretty crazy. So earlier in the week we found some Seventh Day Adventists to speak with and they invited us to their church so we went. It was very interesting and enlightening to be put in the investigators shoes so to speak. Hopefully we can get them to visit with us sometime soon. I was very very enlightened. There are a lot of good people out there worshiping according to the light they possess. One thing I have learned is that we have a declaration that says that we are going to allow people to worship what and who they may.
I also experienced some anti-mormon material which I never saw in Jamaica but here we got some and we called the pastor because he wrote his name and number on the back. We are going to meet with him sometime this week to see if there is any potential ;) haha.
So we have been meeting with a Cuban man named John (pronounced in Spanish). He is so prepared. He is almost finished with the Book of Mormon and he wants to be baptized this Thursday. This so happens to be the Thursday to end the 40 day fast for missionary work that the branch is doing. It has been a really awesome experience. The branch hadn't had a baptism in five months and they started this fast 36 days ago and by the end there will have been 2 baptisms. The power in fasting and prayer is amazing!!
Also Mrs. Workman has finished the Book of Mormon and she has had some pretty awesome experiences this past week as well. The Book of Mormon is no doubt the word of God. READ IT.
Well other than all that not much is happening this week. This week coming Sister Workman is going to take us out to an all you can eat steak house!! I am really excited for that. Well i love you all and enjoy the prayers i feel everyday. You are all special to my heart. Family and friends.
