A Team Roping Companion?
How is everybody?!?! I hope great. Here in Jamaica has been quite the experience. Talk about a culture shock. All i know is i left my comfort zone back in Utah haha. I will adjust and make the best of it. I'm so glad you got the picture (below) from the president. My companion wasn't in the pic. It is the three of us that landed Pres. Hendricks and the two assistants. My companion is really cool he team ropes and has worked on a ranch a lot so we have a lot in common. He is also from a small town up in Idaho. His name is Stetson Montgomery. Also I walk around here and have no idea what people are saying to me. There are a lot of great people here and the Active members are awesome and have great testimony's that they show in their actions. But with the great people there a lot of ignorant mean people too. I have been called so many names haha. White man is common and red man when I'm hot and sunburned. People beg us for money all the time but we just say no because most of the time it is just in a mocking way and that is not what we are here to do. I haven't taught a whole lot i mostly just observe and bear my testimony. The people who are familiar with the missionaries are way cool and talk to us. It isn't hard finding people to teach it is really hard to find people who will make commitments here. The inactive membership is really high so we focus a lot on less active and recent converts also. Anyway I'm down to nine minutes so I'm gonna start to put pictures on. I love you all and pray for you every day. You are my motivation and i know that no matter what i have people at home praying for me and that means so much to know that.
Love Parker
