Hello!

Hello everybody,

This week has been really great here in Yallahs. We have a few really cool investigators. My companion's name is Elder Adams and he is from Ephraim Utah. His Dad is a bishop down there. He is a great kid. He is a young one 18 years old. He is really spiritual and has a really strong testimony. I am going to finish his training.

Yallah is really cool. It is very small and very bush and a lot of people who work in Kingston live here. The Ocean is really pretty here. I guess they do a lot of surfing competitions here. There are 4 missionaries here. The other Companionship are really cool too. Their names are Elder Howard and Elder Groesbeck.

I am on a bicycle now and i finally have a bicycle that fits me. I replaced the seat post with some old stripped off handle bars and now my knees don't hit my chin anymore when i ride so that is cool. We had a cool experience the other day. We had just used our last option of people to see so we stopped in the middle of the road to say a prayer. After we prayed we felt prompted to go contact a referral that we forgot about. We contacted her and set up a return appointment. Well while we are there Elder Adams remembers an inactive member they found and we went and checked on her. Well come to find out she has not been to church in 8 years and she had justified it so much that she forgot about the sacrament and that that is how you receive the holy ghost on a weekly basis. Well start by asking about what she remembers about her baptism and gets all excited and runs and grabs a bag full of paper. Well it is a bunch of old church books pictures and programs for her baptism. Then she tells us how she got the holy ghost and what not. So we decide to read 3 Nephi 18 with her about the sacrament. After we read it she is excited and wants to come to church. I thought that was a cool experience and what is even cooler is that she lives in a neighborhood which has a lot of potential families. Hopefully she is our way in.

Also here in Yallahs there is a man here named George. He is a great guy and after he got baptized he lost everything. He was farming on some land and somebody burned down his garage and his car and everything went up in smoke. And then the government told him that they were going to have to take his land because they were going to do a housing development here. Well they said they would give him 3 months to get things straightened out. Well like a month and a half later he comes home to the police tearing down his house with chainsaws. Well the missionaries were there, but he wasn't, so luckily they got most of his stuff out before it was all destroyed. And guess what. He is still active in church and teaches priesthood and every day throughout the week he is building a new house for him and his father. He is also the best member missionary we have. All of his neighbors are curious what it is that is helping him handle it so well. Only the gospel is carrying him through and so we have a lot of people to see over by his place now.

Well that is all for this week. i love you all. keep up the good work.

Love Elder Stuart
